Last Saturday, we, the band of live comic readers, and I went down to Waterford to read (? perform? Enact? Channel? Who knows) our comics live. Garter Lane is a brilliant jewel of art centre with its magnificent staircase and plush cinema; Aoibhie and the others were warm and welcoming; it was a genuine pleasure to make the trip Munster-ward on a bright warm day in June.
Also! To be noted: the Parlour Tearooms in the renovated Harbour Commissioners Office, just a few doors down: unique and wonderful.
I’ll be back to Garter Lane at 31 July to do a comic workshop with teens. Already looking forward to it!
